The Charlotte Roller Girls 2009 season is starting to mimic a Billy Mays infomercial. The final 2009 bout was originally scheduled for September 12 but unforeseen facility maintenance at its home venue, the Grady Cole Center, forced it to be rescheduled to last weekend. But wait, there’s more!
On Sunday, December 13, Charlotte’s secondary team, the B Dazzlers, will travel to Conway, SC to take on the Palmetto State Rollergirls. This last-minute addition to Charlotte’s schedule extends the 2009 season by one week.
Charlotte faced Palmetto State on two previous occasions, once at its debut bout in 2007 and once in 2008. Palmetto State won both times.
The bout, named O Holy Fight, is being held at Dream Land Skating Arena, located at 4475 Privetts Road in Conway. Tickets are available at the door. All tickets are $5 while children 10 and under are admitted for free. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the bout starting at 6:00 p.m. For further information, visit www.palmettostaterollergirls.com.
