Wouldn’t it be exciting to see Charlotte’s skaters compete head-to-head? Starting on July 19, fans will have that chance.

The Charlotte Roller Girls will kick off its 2009 intra-league season with three qualifying bouts before closing out its home season with the championship bout in September. The intra-league championship is a serious competition which allows all of Charlotte’s active skaters to bout at its home venue the Grady Cole Center.

“All of us look forward to our intra-league season,” said Charlotte Roller Girls president Lucy Kwipment (Cress Barnes). “Every skater gets the chance to strut her stuff in front of the home crowd. The fans love it too because they are guaranteed to see their favorite skater at least twice throughout the championship.
